Dear Lakeview Community,
Thank you to our parents who attended Coffee with the Principal on Wednesday to hear updates about the PYL Promise and safety information from our School Resource Officer, and to meet our school counselors. We talked about the Alpha Generation, the students currently sitting in our classrooms, and ways the adults in their lives can best support their development and growth. Parents had great questions, reflections, and helpful tips to develop skills such as delayed gratification and frustration tolerance.
We had a successful Great American Shakeout this past Thursday despite the windy weather. Students practiced how to duck, cover, and hold during an earthquake. Buildings were then evacuated, and all students, staff, and volunteers were accounted for using our regular accountability systems.
Students attended our Level Up Jogathon Assembly today to learn more about our event, including the prizes!
*Important Jogathon Information*
- Tomorrow, Saturday, 10/17is the LAST day to have your family or business name printed on our Jogathon t-shirts that every Lion wears during the event. Click HERE to start!
- We are HALF WAY to meeting our goal of $50,000!
- Mrs. Nicholson’s class is in the lead, closely followed by Mrs. Lester’s class for the highest amount raised.
- Aleena S, Kayley J, Greyson N, Jameson N, Raiden A, Kaito A, and Max V, CJ B, Hudson B, and Clayton D are in the lead for being the highest donors who get to slime ME!
Donations will be collected through November 30th. The funds raised through the Jogathon help provide extracurricular activities, special events, student experiences, school programs, and opportunities that make learning and being part of Lakeview even more exciting and memorable.
Every lap, every step, and every contribution brings us one step closer to reaching our goals and creating more opportunities for our students. Whether you’re running, cheering from the sidelines, sharing our fundraiser, or making a donation, every bit of support helps us Level Up together.
We are incredibly grateful for our amazing Lakeview families and community. Thank you for helping us make our school a place where our students can learn, grow, have fun, and make memories that last a lifetime.
Let’s Level Up, Lakeview! Go Lions!
