Dear Lakeview Community,
I am excited to welcome you to our Fall Family Picnic next Wednesday, Sept 30. Please see the attached flyer and read below for information. Kindly follow all expectations outlined to contribute to a positive experience for the whole Lakeview community!
- 11:30am - Emergency gates will open for families to set up your picnic spaces
- 11:45am - Students are brought to their lines; parents/guardians are to meet their student for a handoff.
- 12:45pm - Students are to line up for attendance; no students will be released early.
*Teachers will follow regular Wednesday dismissal procedures.
Plan ahead and get creative! Parking will be very limited and the red valet curb will be designated for disabled placards only. Please visit the MPR to collect any of your child’s missing items from the Lost and Found.
Fall Book Fair will be open in the MPR from 11:45-12:45pm, and again at after school at 1:15pm.
**Preschool, TK, and Kinder families will receive specific information from your teacher.

Join us Friday, October 23 from 5:00–7:00 PM for our Spooktacular Trunk or Treat—a special evening for our Lakeview community to come together, celebrate, and create memories our children will cherish. We’re hoping every classroom will join the fun by creating a creative, decorated trunk and helping bring this celebration to life! - High School Volunteers: We’re also welcoming high school volunteers looking to earn service hours and local businesses interested in hosting a trunk or sponsoring the event. Every trunk, helping hand, and contribution makes this event more special for our students. Let’s come together to make our first Spooktacular Trunk or Treat a joyful night filled with laughter, creativity, connection, and Lakeview spirit!

Unleash Your Child’s Creativity with PTA Reflections Art Contest!
The National PTA Reflections program is back! This year’s theme, "What My Culture Means to Me," invites students to celebrate their heritage, traditions, and identity through the arts. Your child can submit original work in Dance Choreography & Film Production, Literature & Music Composition, Photography & Visual Arts.

Save the Date: Fall Book Fair September 30th - Oct 2! Volunteers are needed to work the book fair and will receive $10 Scholastic Dollars per shift. September is Attendance Awareness Month!
When students fall behind due to absences, they require extra support through district programs and services. Our ability to offer these programs and services is heavily dependent on the average daily attendance of our students. Learn more about why attendance matters HERE.
CareerLink & Academies Pathways: Students in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District gain an advantage in unique, future-ready career technical education academies and pathways at high school.

Need to Report an Absence? Please let the Office Staff know of your child’s absence by 10am using one of the following methods:
Option 1: Fill out the Absence Reporting Google Form, located on our school website.
Option 2: Call the 24 hr. Absence Reporting Line (also for students who will be tardy) at 714-986-7190, then press 3. Please leave a detailed message including the reason for the absence.
