Dear Lakeview Community,
We had a successful first full week of school! I want to highlight the ways our Lions and extended community were being safe, both on campus and in our parking lot! First, our students have continued learning about ROARing behavior on campus and how we can each be Respectful, Organized, Accountable, and Responsible to contribute to a caring and safe school. Students attended Behavior Assemblies where we reviewed these expectations and how they can positively contribute as citizens.
Thank you to our parents for following our parking lot expectations to keep all lions safe! Keep arriving early to ensure your child makes it through the gates before the 7:50am bell!
Friendly reminders to keep up the good work:
- Use the second driveway on Lakeview for Vista del Verde Park. The first driveway is reserved for buses and staff only.
- Pull all the way forward along the red curb.
- Use the designated crosswalks after cars have come to a complete stop.
- Remain in your vehicle.
- Ensure your child exits through the passenger door.
For safety: ALL parents need to check in at the office before entering campus.
The weather is heating up next week. Please send your child with appropriately layered clothing to navigate the air conditioned buildings and outside temperatures. We have water stations around campus where students can refill their reusable bottles. Fruits are a great snack because they are high in water, which helps keep your child hydrated. It is always a priority to provide students with fresh air and outside play, but we do have inclement weather plans in place to address extreme temperatures or conditions.
The Lakeview PTA Membership Challenge kicks off today! Join by August 31 for just $20, and the classroom with the highest participation wins a Pizza & Popsicles Party plus bragging rights as the 2026–27 PTA Membership Champs — every membership (mom, dad, grandparent, teacher, community member) counts toward your child’s classroom total. Back to School Night is Thursday, August 27th! This adult-only event is designed for 1st - 5th grade parents to learn about their child’s upcoming school year and how to get involved in their education. Teacher-led presentations are duplicates. You only need to attend one. Families of Preschool, TK, and Kindergarten students received BTSN information at your Meet & Greet prior to the start of school. Neighborhood Buddies starting soon! Our preschool program is accepting applications to our Neighborhood Buddies program for 3.5-4 year olds. Please see the attached flyer for information and to apply!
Need to Report an Absence? Please let the Office Staff know of your child’s absence by 10am using one of the following methods:
Option 1: Fill out the Absence Reporting Google Form, located on our school website.
Option 2: Call the 24 hr. Absence Reporting Line (also for students who will be tardy) at 714-986-7190, then press 3. Please leave a detailed message including the reason for the absence.
