Dear Lakeview Community,
I hope you had a wonderful Spring Break with your family. I heard about many students’ travels to near and far off places. My family headed to the beach in Oaxaca, Mexico for a lovely time with friends. My kids played endlessly in the surf and pool, and we ate delicious food. This was the perfect reset to finish out the year together!
This week we celebrated Mrs. Torres and Mrs. Hoover for their outstanding dedication to our students as our librarian/media technician and computer instructional staff, respectively. Our social committee hosted a yummy nacho bar because Mrs. Torres and Mrs. Hoover are simply nacho’ average staff members! Picture attached.

Coffee with the Principal on Friday, April 24th at 8am in the MPR! Topics will include supporting young children with emotional regulation through calm down strategies and helping students transition to new grades or middle school. English Learner Advisory Council (ELAC) meeting on Friday, April 24th at 8am in the MPR. This meeting will merge with Coffee with the Principal! Flyer attached.
Love Yorba Linda is approaching on Saturday, April 25! This is a great opportunity for families and volunteers to spend a few hours together beautifying our Lakeview campus. This year, the efforts will be focused on gardening needs in the front of our school. Please click HERE for more information and to sign up - we only need 10 more people; kids welcome. Plan on bringing gardening gloves!

Safety Updates - Please continue to follow drop off and pick up expectations. This includes using the Vista del Verde park entrance to appropriately join the valet line. The first driveway is reserved for busses and staff. Additionally, please be alert and drive safely!

Need to Report an Absence? Please let the Office Staff know of your child’s absence by 10am using one of the following methods:
Option 1: Fill out the Absence Reporting Google Form, located on our school website.
Option 2: Call the 24 hr. Absence Reporting Line (also for students who will be tardy) at 714-986-7190, then press 3. Please have the following information ready:
- Student's first & last name
- Teacher
- Date of the absence
- Reason for the absence
- Name of the person reporting the absence & their relationship to the student
- Contact phone number
