Dear Lakeview Community,
We have a new challenge to bring you: Lakeview Lions in the Wild! We are challenging each family to take advantage of the upcoming time change and springtime weather. Find old or new activities to do together as a family, or send siblings/neighbors/pals on an adventure. We want to see how many activities our Lions can do over the next month to help stimulate creativity, relaxation, relationships and good ol’ fashioned enjoyment! Your child came home with their first weekly tracking sheet: for every 20+ minutes of a non-screen activity, they can fill in a paw! We want to see if our community can achieve 1000 hours “out in the wild!” Send photos of your Lions in the wild! Students can view their progress and see photos along the library windows.
We are closing the 2nd trimester on Friday, March 6th. Students are on a minimum day schedule. To celebrate everyone’s hard work and effort, PTA is hosting an Ice Cream sale ($2 each) at dismissal near Gate 2. Students who earned Ice Cream for the Jogathon will receive a ticket for a free treat!

- All TK students attend 7:50am-12:00pm
- Kindergarten -5th grade students attend 7:50am-12:45pm.
Dining with Lakeview at Chuck E Cheese FRIDAY 2/27! Join family and friends for a Friday night of fun and a portion of your bill goes straight back to Lakeview! See the attached flyer and stop in at Chuck E Cheese TODAY anytime between 3-9pm.
SAVE the DATE: Family Literacy Night on March 19 from 5-7pm. Family Literacy Night will be a fun-filled evening where families come to celebrate the joy of reading! Students and their families will rotate through engaging literacy stations, meet local authors, and participate in book-inspired crafts and games. This interactive night is designed to spark a love of literacy while creating meaningful family memories through learning and play. Dinner will be available to purchase during the evening! See the attached flyer with hyperlinks to each of the authors. Make sure to RSVP so we can plan accordingly.
The 2026 Science Fair has begun! Please see the attached flyer with information to guide this at-home project. In the past, we have had many entries across all grade levels and look forward to more! This year, we will align the due dates so the science projects are displayed during Open House. DUE March 31st.
**Calling Science Fair Judges!** If you work in a science-based profession or have a background in science, we’d love to have you as one of our Science Fair Judges! This is a heartwarming experience to listen to students share about their process and what they learned, mistakes included, while conducting their experiments. Jogathon Update: WOW! We exceeded our goal by fundraising over $51,000!! THANK YOU for supporting our students and staff with your generosity. Please see the attached packet for a list of our Business Sponsors and Family Sponsors. Congratulations to Mrs. Day’s students for being the top earning class and Jameson N (TK) for being our top fundraiser earning the role of Principal for the Day!
Spring Book Fair is coming March 30 - April 3! Sign up to volunteer and get your child’s e-wallet set up for easy purchasing. This is a great time to grab some books for Spring Break! Flyer attached.
Vocal Music Festival on March 3 at 7pm! Come see some of our students from the Lakeview Elementary Choir perform alongside other outstanding musicians for this magical night at Valencia High School. Upcoming Cafeteria Events March 2-6! This initiative is designed to promote student engagement, increase meal participation, and create a fun and memorable cafeteria experience aligned with literacy celebrations. Please see the attached flyer for more information!

- We will also be celebrating Read Across America / Dr. Seuss Day with a themed lunch and a “Lucky Tray” giveaway.
- Three random trays will be marked with a Dr. Seuss sticker.
- Students who receive a lucky tray will win a copy of Cook It! The Dr. Seuss Cookbook for Kid Chefs.

Option 2: Call the 24 hr. Absence Reporting Line (also for students who will be tardy) at 714-986-7190, then press 3. Please have the following information ready:
- Student's first & last name

- Date of the absence
- Reason for the absence
- Name of the person reporting the absence & their relationship to the student
