Thank you to the many students and families who donated non-perishable items to help replenish our PYLUSD Family Resource Center! We had over 37 boxes of goods collected. These donations will help some of our Lakeview families and our greater PYLUSD families ensure they have what they need for the upcoming holidays!
Even though the weather is warm, is your child missing a jacket or two? Our Lost and Found is overflowing with clothes, water bottles, lunch boxes and more. Please check the Lost and Found to claim your child’s items before 12/19/25. Any remaining items will be donated during Winter Break. The Lost and Found is located in the MPR, accessible to parents after school.
Recently, families and staff have been engaging in conversations about the impact of screen time on our students. I came across a helpful guide for parents navigating screen time with children, especially as we enter into a two-week winter break. The yearly PYLUSD Artworks Poster Contest is now open! This is an exciting opportunity for our student artists to participate in the Annual District Art Show and to be considered for a feature on the widely distributed District Art Show poster shared throughout the district and community. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate student creativity across our elementary schools. Please save the date for the Annual District Art Show, with opening night on Wednesday, April 1 from 5:30-8:30pm. The art show will remain open through April 28. (flyer is attached)

Incoming Transition Kindergarten and Kindergarten Information Meetings and Tours at Lakeview are scheduled for December 16, 2025 and January 6, 2026, both at 8am in the MPR. Play Practice every Tuesday unless communicated otherwise. It is important for all participants to be at each practice unless they are ill. Students are invited to wear their Annie Jr t-shirts!
