Dear Lakeview Community,
We had so many fun activities this week! Thank you for coming out to our Family Picnic on our Distinguished Day in honor of our CA Distinguished School recognition. It was so fun to see many students and staff in their “distinguished” clothes and it was a blast to have you all for lunch! Thank you for joining us!
Today, we had the Korean Music and Dance Festival ensemble from Segerstrom Center for the Arts perform for all our students. The presenter was surprised how many students spoke Korean and invited them on the stage. We were able to provide this assembly through our one-time ESSER III funds and hope to continue with this enrichment next year through other funding sources.
Dr. Cherniss, Superintendent of PYLUSD, made his first visit to Lakeview and was able to observe instruction, learning and engagement from our available classes, while our other classes were in the Korean Festival. He was pleased with our campus, and we look forward to having him again next school year.
To end the day, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders performed a powerful Patriotic Assembly filled with songs and narration. Thank you to our many parents who attended and to our teachers (Mrs. Riggio, Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Olson, Mrs. Lester, Mrs. Sabio and Mrs. Bilhartz) for orchestrating this event.

End of Year Safety Reminders
We know there are a lot of different activities for the end of the year and we are grateful to have your support. Please plan extra time for parking, being mindful to not park in marked stalls or along the red curb. Join me in keeping each child and adult safe by driving slowly and carefully through the parking lot.

--Newly added! Monday, June 12 - 5th Grade Breakfast, 8-9am, MPR. All parents are welcome to celebrate their 5th grade student. Sign up’s will come from Room Parents.
--Monday, June 12 - End of Year Field Trip to CSUF. Volunteer sign ups for supervision zones will come from the PTA Chairperson.
--Tuesday, June 13 - Awards Assembly, 8:15, MPR, by invite only.
--Wednesday, June 14 - Student and Staff Kickball Game, internal school activity only
--Thursday, June 15 - Final Day of School; Dismissal at 12 noon.
