Lakeview Lions Raise $12,000 for the American Heart Association

Students completed different challenges with their family while learning about healthy habits, mindfulness, warning signs of a stroke and even hands-only CPR. Thank you gifts were awarded throughout the campaign including fun keychains which students donned on their backpacks and an upcoming glow stick dance party. The Kids Heart Challenge seeks to spread heart health awareness to our communities through engaging activities for families and schools, knowing that many are already impacted by heart disease. Mario and Audra, representatives from KHC, presented Lakeview students and Mrs. Given with a Top School award in April for collecting over $12,000 in donations that go directly to the American Heart Association to support doctors and researchers working together to find cures to heart diseases. Go Lions!
