Lakeview Lion Updates: October 21, 2022

Dear Lakeview Families,

What a wonderful day seeing all our Lions jogging/sprinting/walking/rolling during our annual Jog-a-thon! Thank you to the many parents who attended to cheer on our students. And a HUGE THANK YOU to our PTA Jog-a-thon Chairperson, Kelly Benjamin, and her amazing crew for coordinating today’s event, starting at 6am. Lakeview has the BEST community!

Checkout our @lakeviewpylusd Instagram for pictures of today’s event.

Don’t forget that all donations are due 10/31. Attached is the Jog-a-thon packet for reminders of our top donation prizes!

We had a fabulous turn out at the Mary Poppins Jr play auditions! A mandatory parent meeting is this Monday, Oct 24 at 6:30 in the MPR. Regular rehearsals will be on Tuesdays moving forward at 2:30 in the MPR. Please make arrangements to pick up your child by 4:15pm when the Office closes.

Next week is a busy week. Please read below for important information.

Everyday Counts!
Being on time matters! We still have quite a few stragglers being dropped off late. We expect students to be in their lines by the 7:50 bell for our community flag salute. We will be moving the warning bell in the upcoming week to 7:45am to assist in getting all students to their lines by the final bell at 7:50am.

Red Ribbon Week Oct 24-28
This is a week where we focus on overall wellness and health for our Lions. Take a look at the attached flyer listing each day’s theme. There is a special event on 10/27 at 2:45 at Vista del Verde Park, hosted by the PTA. Come meet Deputy Smith, our School Resource Officer with the YL Sheriffs Department.
