Good evening Lakeview Community,
We had a wonderful Science Awards Night this week where students were recognized for their creative and thoughtful projects! We had over 40 submissions, TK through 5th grade. Community members and District personnel served as our panel of judges. Each student was interviewed about their project and overall learning. Thank you to the families who supported each scientist on their endeavor. Take a look at the picture attached!
Lakeview is going green! Your child’s report card will be available via AERIES. Due to an unforeseen delay with the roll-over of information, these will not be available tonight as we anticipated. Please be on the lookout for communication from our Technology Department this weekend notifying you when the report card will be available. Thank you for your flexibility.
Calling any Room Parents or volunteers interested in helping with our Springtime Craft with Mrs. Given this Tuesday, March 22nd. Grade levels will be coming to the MPR to spend an hour with me making an LED card. If you’re interested in helping for an hour or two, please contact me at [email protected]. I am not that crafty but I love spending time with our students!
Join your fellow Lions at Blue Scoop Creamery this coming Wednesday, March 23rd for a tasty treat. You may even see some Lakeview Staff members scooping away ;-) See the attached flier!
A few health and safety reminders:
- Toys and personal field equipment should not come to school.
- Please send your child with a healthy snack for recess. Candy is not a sufficient way to refuel your child’s brain and body at 9:45 AM.
- We appreciate the generosity, but food is not to be shared with friends at recess or lunch.
- Is your child missing a jacket or water bottle? We have quite the collection in our Lost and Found.
Some Lions are needing friendly reminders about our school rules and policies. Please review our Student Handbook, located on our school website.
Please see below for additional information and upcoming events.
We had a great time during Kids Heart Challenge and are so proud of our students! THANK YOU for your incredible generosity and support in making our community heart healthy while helping others.
YOU made a difference! And together we raised $7,379 for the American Heart Association, helping to save so many lives. All while helping our students understand the importance of having a happy and healthy heart! Thank you for being a heart hero and helping our school and the American Heart Association create longer healthier lives. Prizes are still rolling in and getting passed out.
