Lakeview Lion Updates: June 15, 2023

Dearest Lakeview Community,

It has been an absolute honor to serve our school, students and community. Thank you for your partnership in your child’s education. Without the amazing support of each of you and the dedication of each staff member, Lakeview wouldn’t be who we are today. As we sent off our 5th graders for the final time this afternoon, many emotions flooded the valet line, not just by students, but by the many parents who have spent years at Lakeview. To you, I am grateful! Thank you for your long standing support over the years. As I wrap up my second year here and look forward to many in the future, it is not beyond me to recognize the many efforts that have helped pave the way.

We are also sending off a beloved Lakeview teacher, Mrs. Genna Olson, who has accepted a new position as academic coach at her children’s school. This is a perfect role for Mrs. Olson who exudes positivity, genuine care for students and a wholehearted commitment to education. Thank you for the many years of joy that you shared with the Lakeview community. You will be missed!

Congratulations to Ms. Ami Mulhall, preschool teacher, on the upcoming arrival of her first child! We wish the absolute best as you enter motherhood. We can’t wait to meet the little guy!

For our students heading off to new adventures – we are so proud of you and can’t wait to hear about your successes in the future. You always have a home here at Lakeview. Once a lion, always a lion!

To our returning families, I hope you have a fantastic summer. You will receive information about the start of the school year in mid-August. We will see you for the first day of school on August 29th!

The office will be closed on Monday, June 19th in honor of Juneteenth.

Have a safe and wonderful summer!

All best,
Mrs. Given
Proud Principal
