Lakeview Lion Updates: February 10, 2023

Dear Lakeview Families,

This morning, we had a fabulous time laughing together and watching our own students’ writing come to life at our Imagination Machine Assemblies. Students submitted writing pieces a few months back. The Imagination Machine team read through all submissions and selected 10 to present through short sketches where they acted out scenes with dialogue and action. Each sketch was well planned, pulling directly from the student piece and highlighting the writing process, while adding improv and fun puns. Adults were giggling along as well. We were able to bring The Imagination Machine to Lakeview thanks to the federal funding from the Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief (ESSER) Funds. The following students’ stories were selected and they were recognized at the assemblies. Pictures attached.

-Mrs. Eliot's Class, Rosie Learns to Share
-Tristan Kim, Mr Burns, The Alien Who Was Greedy
-Eric Kang, Mr. Burns, A Boy Rode a Plane
-Joanne Li, Mrs. Anderson, Ninja Battle
-Emersyn Han, Mrs. Vlastnik, Kelp the Unicorn
-Greyson Kuo, Mrs. Anderson, Wise Old Grandpa
